Named in her brother's memory, the first J Christopher & Co was opened in 2006 in Bloomington, IL by Julie (Jones) McAlpin after graduating HairMasters Institute of Cosmetology with honors as the top-ranked student in her class. Due to family obligations, Julie moved the thriving business to its second and current location in Marion, Illinois.
